Izmir Katip Celebi University is the 4th state university established in Izmir in 2010. There are 13 faculties, 3 institutes, 1 college, 2 vocational schools, 21 application and research centers and 7 coordinatorships.

Why Izmir Katip Celebi University?

İzmir Katip Çelebi University (İKÇÜ) education policy is based on a student-centered education approach, education is supported by academic and social activities, and participation in social responsibility projects is encouraged, enabling professional and social development. İKÇÜ, which carries out its activities with the aim of becoming a Research University, is aware that increasing research skills and quality will increase the quality of education.

At İKÇÜ, students who meet the required success and conditions should graduate from two different undergraduate programs in the same semester with a Double Major program, students who meet the necessary success and conditions must take the necessary courses of another department they are interested in, and have a certificate showing their competencies in other fields, and transfer to the institution. It offers freedom of learning and wealth.

İKÇÜ, which prioritizes internationalization in all fields, has student and academic staff exchange program agreements with 71 universities from 16 different countries. 594 students from 82 different countries receive education at İKCU. Exchange programs are encouraged with Erasmus, Mevlana and bilateral protocols, and students are directed to these fields. Particular attention is paid to programs supported by national institutions, European Union and International funds.

The library is improving its collection day by day in line with the University's education policy. Electronic publications, database subscriptions, printed books and periodicals constitute the library's collection.2 The number of e-publications per student in the university library is 36.43.
